Examination TextSarah Stanton aged about 48 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Richard Stanton (gone from her) to whom she was married at St Martin's Church about 23 years ago, that he was a Glass Grinder by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Mr Taylor a Glass Grinder near Hanover Street in Long Acre in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all his time out which expired about half a year before marriage, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since. Taken in the workhouse the 27th Day of September 1756.
