Examination TextAnn Wilkes aged 22 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mrs Hales near Harvey Court in the Strand in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and 10 months at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about three years ago, that she hath not kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that she this Examinant was this day passed from the Parish of St Giles in the Fields. Sworn the 17th Day of September 1756 before Benjamin Cox.
