the House where this Deponent Lodges and the said Barbara Wilson then
Lodged as aforesaid and as soon as the said Barbara Wilson came (One
of the Young Women was in the Entry of the said House where this Deponent
Lodges as aforesaid and the Young Man with her the other young Woman
being at that time on the Street at the outside of the Window) She said to
the said Young Woman that was in the Entry of the said House "Mrs. Nanny
how do you do". whereupon the said Young Woman replied "very well" upon
which the said Barbara Wilson ask'd the said Young Woman to go up Stairs
with the said Barbara Wilson which She accordingly did and shortly
after the said Barbara Wilson and the said Young Woman came down
Stairs and went out together as this Deponent to informed and believes
to a public House opposite to this Deponent's Lodgings known by the name
or Sign of the Drum and about a quarter of an hour afterwards the said
Barbara Wilson came to this Deponent at her said Lodgings and told this
Deponent that One of the persons that came after the said Barbara
Wilson
< no role > was the Sister of the said Samuel Wilson< no role > and that the other whom She
called Mrs. Nanny had been a Servant to her said Brother Samuel Wilson< no role >
and were sent by her said Brother Samuel Wilson< no role > as being the only person's
he could Trust to endeavours to prevail upon her not to appear as an Evidence
against her said Brother Samuel Wilson< no role > and to get her the said Barbara
Wilson to go to talk to her Relations (meaning the said Samuel Wilson< no role > and
David Wilson< no role > his Brother as this Deponent verily believed and that they
(meaning as this Deponent believes the said Samuel Wilson< no role > and David
Wilson
< no role > ) would make her the said Barbara Wilson any Recompence that
She would Require if She would but Absent herself and not appear as an
Evidence against the said Samuel Wilson< no role > or Words to that Effect upon which this
Deponent said Mrs. Wilson if you will take my Advice. Do not go amongst them
for they will certainly do you all the prejudice they can and that this Deponent
Said She did not think that the said Barbara Wilson would be safe amongst [..]

this Deponent at the same time say'd to the said Barbara Wilson [..]
supposed that the said Barbara Wilson must be Obliged to appear against the
said Samuel Wilson< no role > as She had gone on so far whereupon the said Barbara
Wilson made Answer and said to this Deponent that She the said Barbara
Wilson would not Absent herself but would go through with what She had
begun and particularly as She was bound in a Recognizance of One
Hundred Pounds to appear and give Evidence against the said Samuel
Wilson
< no role > and that it was at the intercession of the Assignees of the said Samuel
Wilson
< no role > that She the said Barbara Wilson< no role > was not Confined for that purpose
which was all that passed between this Deponent and the said Barbara
Wilson upon this Subject that Evening being as aforesaid on Saturday the
Second Day of April last And this Deponent further Saith that on the next
Day being Easter Sunday about Eight oClock in the Morning this Deponent
saw the aforesaid Young man coming down Stairs from the said Barbara
Wilson's said Lodging as this Deponent Apprehends and immediately after
the said Barbara Wilson came down Stairs and went as this [..]
believes to the House of the said Mr. Curtis to meet some of Samuel [..]
Friends or Relations and Staid at the said Mr. Curtis's House [..]
Three oClock of the same Day when the said Barbara Wilson return [..]
went up Stairs to her Lodgings and staid there for about half an hour [..]
and upon her coming down again She called in at this Deponent [..]
Lodging and cried very much upon which this Deponent asked [..]
said Barbara Wilson what was the Matter with her upon which the [..]
said Barbara Wilson shewed this Deponent. a Flannell Petticoat a [..]
Black Quitted Petticoat, a Shift and a pair of Staige and a White
Handkerchief and Apron together with a Black Sattin Cardinal which
She then had on and said that her Brother Samuel's people had brought
those Things to her from her said Brothers (meaning the said Samuel
Wilson
