this Deponent that they (meaning the said Samuel Wilson< no role > and
David Wilson< no role > as this Deponent believes) would make her the said
Barbara Wilson a handsome present besides and did suppose her
going to her Friends would be the making of her and upon that She
the said Barbara Wilson took her leave of this Deponent saying to
this Deponent at the same time that She could not inform this Deponent
where She was going to but imagined She was to be with some of
Samuel Wilson< no role > Family and assured this Deponent that let her be
where She would that she the said Barbara Wilson would write to this
Deponent in a short time to let her know where She was or words to that
Effect but this Deponent Saith that She hath neither seen or heard
from the said Barbara Wilson from that time to the present And
this Deponent further Saith that She verily believes that the said Barbara
Wilson
< no role > hath for the Reasons aforesaid been Spirited away and
prevailed upon to Absent herself by the Agents of the said Samuel
Wilson
< no role > in Order and with an intent to prevent and hinder the said
Barbara Wilson's giving her Evidence against the said Samuel
Wilson
< no role > And this Deponent Mark Cork< no role > for himself Saith that he
hath at the Request and desire of his Master Mr. Joshua Warne< no role > and
Mr. Thomas Dibbs< no role > two of the Assignees of the said Samuel Wilson< no role > and
several other of the Creditors of the said Samuel Wilson< no role > Used his utmost
Endeavours for upwards of these Six Weeks last past both in the City of London and Suburbs thereof in Order to find
out the said Barbara Wilson by making proper Enquirys for that
purpose but this Deponent hath not as yet been able to get any
Information where the said Barbara Wilson can be found And this
Deponent further Saith That the Woman who is abovementioned to be
called Mrs. Nanny was the late Servant of him the said Samuel Wilson< no role >
as he this Deponent Apprehends and believes And this Deponent
verily believes that the said Barbara Wilson< no role > hath been Spirited away
by the Agents of the said Samuel Wilson< no role > in Order and with an intent
to prevent and hinder the said Barbara Wilson's giving her Evidence
against the said Samuel Wilson< no role > .
