Whereas Complaint was this day made unto
us two of His Matyes Justices of the peace for
this City and Libtyes [..] (Quor unus) by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of St. Gregory London That Ellen Whitton< no role > &
five Children, were lately Sent to their Parish from
the Parish of St. Martin in the Fields in the County of
Middx by virtue of A wart. under the hands and seales
of two of His Matyes. Justices of the peace for the sd
County for that William Whitton< no role > husband of the sd
Ellen was bound Apprntice to one Aaron Watts< no role > , and
served him as such for A year in the sd Parish, And
whereas it appeares unto us by the Examinacon of the
Samuel Walsh< no role > on Oath That the sd William Whitton< no role >
Served the sd Watts as an Apprntice in the Parish
af St. Mary Magdalen old fishstreete London , after he
had lived in the Parish of St. Gregory and that the sd
Whitton never returned to live in the Sd Parish of
St Gregory.

These are therefore in His Matyes. name
Stricktly to charge and Command you forthwith
on Sign thereof to the convey the Said Ellen Whitton< no role >
and her sd Five children to the sd Parish of Sd.
Mary Magdalen old Fish Streete and them there leave
with the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poore
of the sd Parish who are hereby required to receive
& pvide for them according to Law Hereof faile
not And this shall be your warrt. Given under our
hands & Seales this 18th. day of June 1699

To the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor of the parish of St. Gregory
London and to all others whom it
may concerne.
