Poor of the Parish of Saint Mary Maydeline
Milkstreet London andthe Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Christchurch in the County of Middlesex

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto Us two of
His Majesties Justices of the Peace for this City and the
Liberties thereof one being of the Quorum by the Churchwarden
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Mary
Magdeline Milkstreet London That James
Thompson is
lately come to reside in your said Parish not having obtaind any
Legal Settlement there and is likely to become chargeable
thereto unless timely prevented Which Complaint We judge to
be true and for as much as it appears unto Us by the Oath of
James Thompson< no role > that he did about three (years ago
live with Robert Wright< no role > in the Said Parish of Christ
Church Middlesex at one Apprentice bound by Indentures by
the Space by the Space of two months
And no other Subsequent Settlement appearing unto Us We the
Said Justices are of opinion and do Adjudge the last Legal
Settlement of the said James Thompson< no role >
to be in the said Parish of Christ Church in the County
of Middlesex And that thither to he ought by Law
to be sent

These are therefore in his Majesties name to Mill and
Require You the Churchwarens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint Mary Maydeline Milkstreet
London forthwith to Remove and Convey the said
James Thompson< no role >
from and out of your said Parish unto the said Parish of
Christ Church in the County of Middlesex
And Him deliver unto the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor there or one of them Who is and are hereby required
to Receive and Provide for him according to Law Given
under our hands and Seals this twentieth day of May
one Thousand Seven hundred and Thirty Seven
