On an Indictment at the Prosecution of
Ashton Jones< no role > for an Assault

Francis March< no role > of Acton in the County of Middlesex Overseer of the Poore
Maketh Oath and saith that he did on the Seventh day of August last call at the House
ofter prosecutor at Action aforesaid but found no our Inhabited therein Whereupon this
Deponant made diligent enquiry after the said Prosecutor but could Not hear where he was
to be found so that this Deponent might have an opportunity of serving him personally with
a Notice of Trial but was informed by the Neighbours of the Prosecutors that he was gone
Into Worcestershire or some other adjacent County and was Opinion that he did not
mean to return any more to his Dweling House at Acton aforesaid, which Information
this Deponent is the more Induced to believe true, on Account of the Prosecutors being in
Arrear for the Rent of his Dwelling House and also in Arrear of the Parochial Taxes which
this Deponent collects and greatly Indebted unto several People in the said Parish And
this Deponent further saith that not knowing where to find the said Prosecutor and
believing him to have entirely left his place of abode at action (no person being able to give
Information of him) he this Deponent stuck a true Copy of the Notice hereto annexed on the
most conspicuous part of the Street Door of the Prosecutors late Noelling House which
Notice remained thereon several Weeks during all which time this Deponent has made
diligent enquirty after the said Prosecutor but without Effect
