Informations taken this Eighth day of
February 1772 at the Parish of St. James within
the Liberty of Westmr . in the County of Middlesex
upon an Inquisition touching the death of
Francis Clare< no role > lying dead in the said Parish
Liberty and County

Thomas Creess< no role > Hairdresser , a Lodger at Mr. Charles
Frime
< no role > the Sign of the Three Tuns in Peter Street in the
Parish of St. James Westmr . Victualler , on his Oath saith
That he has lodged there about a Month and found Francis
Clare
< no role > the Deced a Lodger there when he first went there
being ill and keeping his Room as Dept. was informed,
says, that about afortnight age Mr. Frime told this Dept.
that the Old Man who lay with Deced had a bad Cough
and disturbed the Deced at Night and desired Depart. to go &
lye with him, which he accordingly did, and found the
Deced very ill, and unable to get out of Bed himself,
and often told Dept. that Mr. Frime and his wife had
been very good to him, but never complained of being
ill used by any Person whatever, Says that the Deced
told him that he believed the Medicines which he took
from the Doctor did not agree with him, and Dept, believes
that the Deced died a Natural Death, as he this Dept.
used to attend him frequently in the day time.

Coach Carver on his Oath saith That he has known the
Deced about Nine Years, That the Deced has complain
of not being well for ten or Eleven Weeks past, and that
he was not able to work, and Dept. frequently used
to go to see him, Says that about five weeks ago the
