Eleanor Kidd< no role > of the Parish of St- Clement Danes
in the Liberty of Westminster Singlewoman on her
Oath says she never was married Rented House or
paid Taxes Says she lives a hired Yearly servant
with Mr- Jno- Bowers< no role > a Grocer in Drury Lane in the
said Parish of Saint Clement Danes and has so done
for upwards of one Year at the Yearly Wages of £6
and further upon her Voluntary Oath says she is
pregnant with Child or Children which is or are likely
to be born a Bastard or Bastards and to become
chargeable to the said parish she being poor and
unable to maintain the same when born Says
that one William Bowers< no role > a Shopman to Mr- John
Bowers< no role > of Drury Lane aforesaid is the Father thereof
he having had carnal Knowledge of her Body about
the beginning of October last but the particular Day she
does not now remember and at sevl- difft- times
afterwards at one of which times he got her with
Child of the Child or Children of which she is now
pregnant & that the said Wm- Bowers< no role > and no
other person did beget the same and that he is the
real & true Father thereof
