Ann Southall< no role > aged about 29 Years on her Oath says
she never was married Rented house or paid Taxes Says
she lived a hired Yearly Servant with Mr- Bird a Cutler
in the Strand in the Parish of St- Clemt- Danes in the
County of Middx upwards of two years & an half at
the Yearly Wages of four pounds hath quitted her said
Service near seven Years ago since which time she
hath gained no other subseqt. Settlement And further on
her Oath says that on the sixth day of April last she
was Delivered of a Male Bastard Child in a Licensed
House in the Precinct of White Fryers London which
has since been baptized by the name of Thomas< no role > & is
now chargeable to the sd- Parish of St- Clemt- Danes she
being poor & unable to maintain the same And furr-
says that one James Gibson< no role > a Journeyman hair dresser
who now works with one Mr- Hargrave a Hair dresser
facing Pepper Alley near London Bridge in the Bort.
of Southwark is the Father thereof he having had carnal
Knowledge of her Body in her late Master house
sometime in the Month of June 1776 & at sevl- difft-
times afterwds- but the partlar days or times she does
not now rember at one of which times he got her with
Child of the Child or Children of which she was so Deliver'd
as afsd- & that the sd- Jas- Gibson< no role > & no other pson did
beget the same & that he is the real & true Father Throf.
