Examination TextHannah Penson aged 34 years passed from the Parish of St Pancras in the County of Middlesex the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of John Penson (who died six years ago) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St Luke in Old Street about 10 years ago, that her said husband hath informed this Examinant that he was bound an apprentice by an indenture untill he should attain the age of 24 years to James Levens a Glazier the corner of James Street in Hedge Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all his time out, that he never kept house rented a tenement of £10 by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the expiration of the said apprenticeship, nor hath she this Examinant since the death of her said husband. Sworn the 28th day of August 1765 before Peter Planck.
