Examination TextElizabeth Bellamy aged 42 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Giles in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of William Bellamy (who died six years ago) to whom she was married at the ffleet in the year 1749, that her said husband hath informed this Examinant that before his intermarriage and while single and unmarried he was a yearly hired servant to Mr Tucker a Smith in Dawson's Alley in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of two years and upwards at the yearly wages of 8 pounds diet and lodging, that her said husband never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together after he quitted the said Mr Tucker's service, nor hath she this Examinant since the death of her said husband, that she hath one child living by her said husband to wit Ann aged 10 years and five months now with this Examinant. Sworn at the 21st Day of October 1767 before Peter Planck.
