Examination TextElizabeth Smith aged about 35 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. George Hanover Square within the liberty of Westminster upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to the Revd. Dr. Moore in Spring Gardens in the said Parish of St Martin the Fields for the space of six years and upwards at the yearly wages of 8 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same near two years ago (that the last 40 days that she was in the service of the said Dr. Moore was in Spring Gardens), that she never kept house rented tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 14th Day of December 1767 before Peter Planck.
