Examination TextMary Melledge aged 23 Years removed from St Saviour upon her Oath saith that She was never Married nor bound Apprentice , that she was a Yearly hired Servant with Mr Henry Lynam at No 76 in the Strand in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields from February 1788 to November 1789 under a hiring at the The yearly Wages of Nine Guineas diet & lodging since she quitted , which she hath not being a Yearly hired Servant in any one place for Twelve Months together not done any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement. And this Examinant further saith that she was on the 31st Day of January 1791 delivered at the House of Mr Cuff in Orange Street Lomans Pond in the Parish of Saint Savior Southwark in the County of Surrey of a Male Bastard Child baptised John removed with this Examinant for Nurture.
