Examination TextThomas Leach aged 45 years removed from Kensington upon his Oath saith that he is a Smith by Trade that he lived in & rented a House in Church Lane in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields for the space of Three Years at the Yearly Rent of ffourteen Pounds the said Taxes quitted the same about Six Years ago since which he has not Kept House rented Ten Pounds by the Year not done any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement , that he was Married to his late WifeAnn at Windsor Church in the Year 1778 by whom he had Three Children living to wit Richard bornAugt 23 17 Charles born April 19th 1778 & Thomas born January 19, 1781 neither of whom were ever bound Apprentice been in Service for Twelve Months not done any Act to gain a Settlement in the own right.
