Examination TextElizabeth Puddock aged 29 Years upon her Oath saith that she was never married nor bound Apprentice , that she served fifteen Months to wit from the 19 Feby 1789 to 19th May 1790 under a Yearly hiring with Mr John Pinner a Baker No 453 in the Strand in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields at Six Pounds by the Year Wages Diet & lodging said she quitted , which she hath not been a Yearly hired Seven in any Place for Twelve Months together not done any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement. And this Examinant upon her voluntary Oath further saith that She is now create with Child or Children , which is or are likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards & to become chargeable to the said Parish of Seen Martin in the ffields and that John Taylor a Shoemaker had several Times Campbell Knowledge of her Body and that one of which Times did beget her with a Child or Children she now goeth with & is Pregnant of & that he the said John Taylor is the true and only ffather thereof & no Man else. Sworn this 5th Day of November 1793 before me John Collick Elizabeth Puddock her Mark Remd here dec 8/97
