LondonDepositions of witnesses taken at London that is
to say, at the Parish of Saint Bartholomew the Less
in the Ward of Farringdon without in London
aforesaid this 6th day of August 1799 on view of
the Body of William Quarray< no role > now here lying
Dead.

Thomas Rose< no role > of No. 32 Goswell street< no role > Carman maketh
Oath that about twelve at Noon on Wednesday last Dept.
driving [..] a Horse drawing a Cart along Goswell street
observed a Man whom he has since learned was the deced
puttingharnessing and putting two Horses to an Hearse at the
and of Goswell street next Aldersgate street -that the two Horses
began to kick and bite each other that the deced went to
them and endeavoured to part them that one of the Horses with
his Month caught hold of the deced, right Arm and shook
the deced [..] very much that the deced cryed out very
muchandDept. went to the Horse and hit him Blow
that he continued his hold of the deceds Arm that some
other persons coming up the deced was extricated from
the Home that a great quantity of Blood came from the
deceds Arm thatsheDept then left the decedThat Dept
has seen the deced this Evening lying dead in Saint Bartholomew
HospitalDept understood the deced was in the Emplay
of a Mr. Dimsdale of Aldersgate street Coach master and
that the Horse that bit the [..] deced was the property of said
Mr. Dimsdale and Dept. thinks the Horse might be worth
ten Pounds.

street Aldersgate Street Coach master maketh oath that he
between two and three on Wednesday afternoon last he accompanied the
deced in a Coach to Saint Bartholomew Hospital that he had his
right Arm tied up-That while going along the decedthat
sayed that it was owing to the other Horse biting the Horse
that caught hold of his Arm that occasioned that Horse to bite
him for that [..] the put his Arm between them in order to
part them and that while he was doing so the Horse caught hold
of his Arm-Dept says he knew both the Horses that they bite
belong to Mr. Dimsdale and are Stallions-that the Horse with
