Upon reading the humble peticon & appeale of William
Addis
< no role > of the parish of St. Martin in the feilds in this County
exhibited unto this Court setting forth that the Petr. on or
about the sixteenth day of June last past upon the
Informacon of one Richard Boddington< no role > and upon the Oath
of one James Brookes< no role > was convicted before Jeffery Saunders< no role > Esqr .
one of his Maties. Justices of the peace for the Sd. County for
setting on seven dozen & two cloath buttons, and Six dozen
& ten cloath holes on a suit of cloaths of the sd. James Brookes< no role >
contrary to the statute in that case made & provided, And
that the Petr. appealed against the sd. conviccon unto this
Court, which appeale was appointed to be heard by this
Court on Wednesday the thirteenth day of July instant ,
And that the Petr. could not then possibly bring on the same by
reason his Attorney or Agent was obliged to attend Com.
on a Comicon de Lunatico Inquirendo, And that the Petr.
being greatly aggreived by the sd. Conviccon humbly prays
that the said appeale may be heard by this Court on
Saturday morning now next or any other time this Court
shall please to appoint, Whereupon It is Ordered by this
Court that the benefit of the said appeale be saved unto
the Petr. and that the hearing & determining thereof be
adjourned untill the next Generall Quarter Sessions of the
peace to be holden for this County, And that the sd. Richard
Boddington
< no role > upon notice of this Order & all other persons
concerned doe attend his Maties. Justices of the peace at the
next Generall Quarter Sessions of the peace to be holden for
the said County by adjournmt. on Monday the tenth day
of October next at ten of the clock in the forenoon to heare &
abide their Judgmt. & determinacon touching the said appeale.
