Middlesex to Witt


James Murray< no role > and John Hame< no role > both of the Parish
of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the aforesaid County Severally
make Oath, That about a year & an half Since
they became Bail or bound in a Recognizance for one
Joseph Pickerel< no role > , for Recovering Four Shillings and Six
Pence of Two several Persons under pretence of
Forwarding their Poills, he being then one of the Grand
Jury Mon and that the said Joseph Picker
neglected to appear to answer the premiss pursuant to
Such Recognizance, and that he has since absconded
from the place of his Habitation as these Depont. are
Credibly Informed and believe to be true, and is supposed
to have Fled to Ireland or to some parts bey and the
Seas, That it hath Cause these Deponts. and their
Friends abundance of Trouble, and putt than to very
large expencer, To the Amount of Ten ponuds or
upwards as these Deponts: verilly belivee in making
enquiry after him, Obtaining Bench Warrants against
him; Feeing Counsel to Move ye. Court to get Recognizance
Respited. and several times going to and from Graver end
in search of him and carrying there & all Night, and Watching
Several Nights and Dayes near his late Habitation &
other places with a Headborough & Watchmen
in Order to Secure and bring him to Justice Buttono
Purpose not withstanding their aforesaid Endeavours
And these Deponts. Further say they have lately Enquired
after the said Joseph pickerel, and find that he still
absconds, and are Informed is guile gon from his
Habitation
