Examination TextEsther Pringle aged about 25 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Clement Danes within the liberty of Westminster upon her oath saith that she is the wife Walter Pringle (now a prisoner in the Marshalsea Prison for debt) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St Saviour in Southwark the 15th Day of August 1764, that her said husband is a Taylor by trade and as her said husband hath informed this Examinant that he lived in and rented an house in White Hart Court in Castle Street by the Mews from the 25th day of March 1749 to the 25th day of March 1750 at the yearly rent of 11 pounds besides taxes, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that she hath one child by her said husband to wit John aged about four months now with this Examinant. Sworn the 30th Day of October 1765 before Peter Planck.
