| Examination Text | Henry Chevalier aged 69 years the 4th of November next destitute of lodging upon his oath saith that he was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Mr La Bat, Sword Cutler opposite the Church in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all his time out which expired 36 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the seventh Day of October 1758 before Benjamin Cox. |
