Examination Text | Catherine Morgan aged 24 years lodging at a house let out in tenements in Mercer Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that her father Henry Morgan (who died about 15 years ago) was (as this Examinant hath been informed) a yearly hired servant before his intermarriage to Mr Webster, Brewer in Castle Street (near Long Acre) in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, but how long he lived there what wages he had or when quitted the same she this Examinant cannot tell, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant afterwards to this Examinant's knowledge.
