Examination Text | Jane Brown aged 41 years lodging in Moors Yard in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that it she is the wife of Samuel Brown (who has been gone from her these five years) to whom she was married at the Fleet 15 years ago, that he was a Leather Breeches Maker by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to a Breeches Maker (but his name this Examinant cannot tell) near Long Acre in St Martin's Lane in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served all his time out which expired about 22 years ago, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant since the expiration of his said apprenticeship to this Examinant's knowledge.
