Examination Text | William Walford aged 33 years lodging at Mr Denmore's in New Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he is a Wire Worker by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Mr Isaac Smith a Wire Worker in the Strand in the Parish St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served all his time out which expired about 12 years ago, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant since, that he was married to his present wife Dorothy at the Fleet about 10 years ago by whom he hath one child living to wit Jane aged two years now with this Examinant.
