Examination TextElizabeth Wood aged 74 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St Giles without Cripplegate London upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Robert Wood (who died 12 years ago) to whom she was married at St Mary's Church in White Chapel about 20 years ago, that he served seven years apprenticeship to Mr Richard East a Pewterer in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid as her said husband hath informed this Examinant, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together after the expiration of his said apprenticeship, nor hath she this Examinant since the death of her said husband. Sworn the 15th Day of February 1757 before Thomas Kynaston.
