Examination Text | Margaret Blackman aged 21 years destitute of lodging upon her oath saith that she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that her father Richard Blackman is a Bit Maker and lived in and rented an house near Hunts Court in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields the space of 18 months, but what rent he paid nor when he quitted the same she this Examinant knoweth not, that he hath not kept house rented 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since. Sworn the 13th Day of May 1757 before Benjamin Cox. |
