| Examination Text | Mary Martin aged about 23 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was bound an apprentice by an indenture for five years to Mr Matthews a Book Binder in Thackhams Court in the Parish aforesaid and there served all the said time out which expired about five years ago, that she (this Examinant) never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Taken in the workhouse the 11th Day of September 1767. |
