Examination Text | Mary Reeves aged 60 years lodging with Mrs. Kidney's in George Alley York Buildings in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Kirk Reeves (gone from her) to whom she was married at Dublin in Ireland 40 years ago, that her said husband is a Silver Smith by trade and lived in and rented a house in Vinegar Yard in the Parish aforesaid for the space of one year at the yearly rent of 14 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about 17 years ago, that her said husband hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, and this Examinant on her oath further saith that her said husband refuses to provide for this Examinant. Sworn the 23rd Day of July 1765 before Thomas Kynaston. |
